The following terms (these “Payment Terms”) govern payments you make or receive through www.vipfreelancer.com (the “Site”), operated by VIPFreelancer International Ltd. (8 Kaplan St. Tel Aviv 6473409, Israel).
VIPFreelancer Inc. (26 Mercer St, New York, NY 10013, USA) processes card payments from the U.S., and VIPFreelancer Limited (6 Vasili Vryonides St., 3095 Limassol, Cyprus) processes card payments from outside the U.S. VIPFreelancer International Ltd. and its subsidiaries, VIPFreelancer Inc. and VIPFreelancer Limited, are collectively referred to as “VIPFreelancer,” “we,” or “us.”
Please read these Payment Terms carefully before making or receiving payments through the Site. By making or receiving payments through the Site, you accept and agree, on behalf of yourself or your employer or any other entity (if applicable), to be bound by these Payment Terms. These Terms are supplemental to VIPFreelancer’s General Terms of Service and VIPFreelancer Pro Terms of Service, as applicable (collectively, the “Terms of Service”).
1. Key Terms
Capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the respective meanings given to them in the Terms of Service.
VIPFreelancer Balance is the aggregated amount of your Revenue as a Seller and/or returned payments from canceled Orders (or canceled Weekly Reports) as a Buyer and/or your VIPFreelancer Pro Balance (as defined in the VIPFreelancer Pro Terms of Service).
Payment Services Provider(s) are service providers that provide payment services to Buyers and Sellers in connection with the VIPFreelancer platform, including the collection of funds from Buyers, remittance and withdrawal of funds to Sellers, currency exchange services in connection with payments and withdrawals in local currencies, and the holding of funds in connection with VIPFreelancer Balances.
Revenue is the money that Sellers earn from completed Orders (or, in the case of Hourly Contracts, completed Weekly Reports) and can either withdraw or use to purchase on VIPFreelancer, subject to these Terms.
2. Receiving Payments

Here are the available withdrawal methods and their associated fees as charged by the Payment Services Providers:

3.1 General
Buyers pay VIPFreelancer to place an Order from a Seller’s Gig Page, Custom Offer, or through Logo Maker. For Hourly Contracts, Pro Clients pay every Monday for the Services detailed in the Hourly Weekly Report.
VIPFreelancer collaborates with Payment Services Providers to collect all payments from Buyers, transfer these payments to Sellers, and manage funds related to VIPFreelancer Balances. All payment services related to fund collection on the VIPFreelancer platform are handled by VIPFreelancer’s Payment Services Providers.
VIPFreelancer acts as the Seller’s limited authorized payment collection agent, accepting payments from Buyers (via its Payment Services Provider, if applicable) and remitting them to Sellers. A Buyer’s payment obligation to the Seller is fulfilled once VIPFreelancer (or its Payment Services Provider) receives the payment. If VIPFreelancer (or its Payment Services Provider) fails to remit the payment to the Seller, the Seller can seek recourse only from VIPFreelancer and not directly from the Buyer.
Purchases on VIPFreelancer can typically be made using Credit Card, PayPal, VIPFreelancer Credits, or existing VIPFreelancer Balance. Additional payment methods may be available in certain locations. For more details on available payment methods, click here.
Service fees on VIPFreelancer cover administrative costs. These fees are added at the time of purchase, allowing you to review and accept the total amount before proceeding. As of June 2024, the service fee for Gigs is 5.5% of the purchase amount. For purchases under US$100, an additional US$3 small order fee is applied.
For Hourly Contracts, an Order initiation fee and service fees are added to the Hourly Rate when the contract starts. As of July 2024, the Order Initiation Fee is US$5, and the service fee for Hourly Contracts is 5.5% of the Hourly Rate.
If you have a VIPFreelancer Balance, it will be automatically used for your next purchase.
You may not offer Sellers payment through any method other than VIPFreelancer.com. If prompted to use an alternative payment method, report it immediately to Customer Support here.
Invoices and payment receipts from VIPFreelancer will be provided electronically as PDF documents via email or through the Site.
To protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims, or liabilities, withdrawal payment information is collected by either VIPFreelancer or its Payment Services Providers. VIPFreelancer does not have access to payment information provided to Payment Services Providers, which is governed by the applicable privacy policy of the Payment Services Provider. By using any payment method and/or providing payment details for purchases on VIPFreelancer, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are legally authorized to provide such information; (b) you are authorized or have permission to make payments using the provided payment method(s); (c) if you are an employee or agent of a company/person that owns the payment method, you have authorization to use it for payments on VIPFreelancer; and (d) such actions comply with all applicable laws.
3.2 Hourly Contracts
When a Pro Client accepts an hourly Custom Offer and pays the Order Initiation Fee, the Hourly Contract is established. The Pro Client irrevocably authorizes VIPFreelancer to charge their payment method for the Hourly Rate, service fees, and taxes for the Services detailed in a Weekly Report.
The billing cycle for Hourly Contracts starts every Monday at 00:00 UTC and ends the following Sunday at 23:59 UTC. Pro Clients are automatically charged every Monday and receive an invoice for the hours reported by the Seller in the Weekly Report.
The Hourly Weekly Report is submitted for Pro Client’s review every Sunday at 23:59 UTC. A Weekly Report is automatically marked as complete if not disputed within 72 hours after the Pro Client's payment method is charged. It is the Pro Client's responsibility to review the Weekly Report each week and file disputes within this period. Once the Dispute Period expires, the Pro Client is deemed to have accepted the Freelancer's Services as detailed in the Weekly Report.
Disputes can only address the hours reported in a Weekly Report. VIPFreelancer does not guarantee the quality of work and will not accept disputes regarding the quality of Services.
3.3 Purchasing through VIPFreelancer Logo Maker
All Logo Designs have a fixed US$ price and can be purchased in the basic logo package or additional packages as specified on the Logo Design Order Page.
Before completing an Order, you can preview a watermarked version of the Logo Design with your brand name and modify it using editing tools. Once payment is made, Orders for Logo Designs cannot be canceled.
You can purchase redesign services from the Seller who created the Logo Design. The price of these services is determined by the Seller, and a service fee is charged for the additional redesign services. For cancellations of logo redesign services, refer to the “Disputes and Cancellations” section.
3.4 Local Currencies
Payments on VIPFreelancer can be made in various currencies. For convenience, prices are rounded to the nearest whole number. At checkout, the exact amount to be paid is displayed. Unless stated otherwise, charges are in the currency shown on the payment page. All currency exchange services are handled by VIPFreelancer’s Payment Services Providers. In some cases, unsupported currencies may result in charges in US$ even if the price is shown in another currency. The exact charged amount will be clearly disclosed before you complete the payment.
For Hourly Contracts, all payments are in the currency set when the Client initiates the contract. This means the Hourly Rate will vary based on the exchange rate at the time of payment.
All prices on VIPFreelancer are derived from their original US$ value, so non-US$ prices may change daily due to exchange rate fluctuations and may include conversion fees. Buyers can choose to pay in US$ by changing their currency.
If you paid for an Order or Weekly Report in a non-US$ currency and it was canceled, the refunded amount will be based on the exchange rate at the time of cancellation, which may differ from the paid amount in local currency terms, maintaining the same US$ value.
Your VIPFreelancer Balance is always valued in US$, even if displayed in a non-US$ currency. Should you choose to view your VIPFreelancer Balance in a different currency, it may change daily due to exchange rate fluctuations while maintaining the same US$ value. Users can always view their VIPFreelancer Balance in US$ by changing their selected currency.
3.5 VIPFreelancer Credits
VIPFreelancer may offer credits (“VIPFreelancer Credits” or “Credits”) for promotional purposes or otherwise, to be used for purchasing Services on the Site. Available Credit balances will appear in your account and be automatically applied to your next purchase. Unless stated otherwise, VIPFreelancer Credits expire three months from receipt. VIPFreelancer Credits are not redeemable for cash, have no cash value, and are non-refundable. Once used, they cannot be returned to your account, even if your Order or Weekly Report is canceled. VIPFreelancer Credits may be subject to additional conditions and restrictions disclosed upon receipt. Credits may be voided in cases of fraud, misuse, or violation of these Terms. VIPFreelancer reserves the right to modify or cancel the VIPFreelancer Credits program at any time. If your VIPFreelancer account is deactivated or suspended, any unused VIPFreelancer Credits will be forfeited.
3.6 Promo Codes
Promo codes may be offered for purchasing Gigs or other services at special discounts. Promo Codes are valid only for purchases on VIPFreelancer and are subject to time limitations. To use a promo code, enter it on the checkout page. Promo codes are limited to one use per user and may not be combined with other promotions. For Orders with multiple milestones, the promo code applies to the first milestone only. Promo Codes do not apply to VIPFreelancer Credits. They may be subject to additional conditions disclosed upon receipt. Promo codes may be voided in cases of fraud, misuse, or violation of the Terms of Service. VIPFreelancer reserves the right to modify or cancel promo codes at any time.
VIPFreelancer may be required to charge users indirect taxes (e.g., Sales Tax, VAT, or GST) or to withhold taxes. Any amount VIPFreelancer is required to collect will be added to the purchase amount and other fees payable by the Buyer. Any amount VIPFreelancer is required to withhold will be deducted from the Seller’s revenue, as required by applicable laws.
Indirect taxes are in addition to the price shown on the site and will be displayed to the Buyer before payment.
Users are responsible for paying any direct or indirect taxes, including GST, VAT, or income tax, applicable to them based on their residency, location, or other factors, under their jurisdiction's laws.
We encourage Buyers and Sellers to resolve conflicts independently. If this fails, even after using the Resolution Center, or if you encounter non-permitted usage on the Site, contact VIPFreelancer's Customer Support for assistance here.
5.1 Basics
Order cancellations or, for Hourly Contracts, Weekly Report cancellations, can be performed on VIPFreelancer when eligible. This can be done through Customer Support or the Resolution Center.
Filing a dispute or reversing a payment through your payment provider or bank after an Order, or Weekly Report, is accepted and delivered violates these Payment Terms and may lead to your account being temporarily or permanently disabled. Once a dispute is filed with your payment provider, the funds become ineligible for a refund due to our obligations to the payment provider.
For issues related to Services, use the Site's dispute resolution tools to attempt resolution.
VIPFreelancer, through its Payment Services Provider, reserves the right to cancel Orders or hold funds for any suspected fraudulent transactions made on the Site.
Intellectual property transfer to the Buyer is subject to full payment. Delivery may not be used if payment is canceled for any reason.
If an Order is canceled for any reason, the funds will be returned to the Buyer’s VIPFreelancer Balance.
Revisions can be requested through the Order Page while the Order or Weekly Report is marked as Delivered. Sellers determine the number of revisions offered, including no revisions. Requesting additional services beyond the agreed requirements using the Request Revisions button is not allowed.
5.2 Order Cancellations
VIPFreelancer encourages Buyers and Sellers to resolve disputes mutually using the Resolution Center.
Eligibility for VIPFreelancer to cancel an Order will be assessed based on potential misconduct, violations of our Terms of Service, Community Standards, or improper use of the VIPFreelancer delivery system. See below for Order-specific eligibility.
Completed Orders or milestones may be canceled upon review by our Customer Support team within 14 days of completion based on potential misconduct or violations. For Hourly Contracts, completed Weekly Reports may be canceled within 7 days of completion.
In rare cases, Customer Support may cancel a completed Order or Weekly Report after the stated period. The amounts paid will be returned to the Buyer’s VIPFreelancer Balance and deducted from the Seller’s VIPFreelancer Balance or future revenues.
Orders made through the VIPFreelancer Logo Maker cannot be canceled once payment is made.
Orders are not eligible for cancellation based on the quality of Service/materials if they were delivered as described in the Gig Page or agreed between Seller and Buyer. You can rate your experience with the Seller on the Order Page, including the service quality received.
Use the VIPFreelancer Resolution Center for issues with the service provided by the Seller before contacting Customer Support. Customer Support will not act on Orders or Weekly Reports where the Buyer has not informed the Seller of issues first, except for non-permitted usage of VIPFreelancer.
Non-permitted usage encountered during an Order may result in cancellation. This includes harassment, unlawful behavior, or other violations of VIPFreelancer’s Terms of Service.
VIPFreelancer will cancel Orders or Weekly Reports based on the following reasons:
Active Orders (before Seller delivers):
Delivered Orders (before marked complete):
Completed Orders or Weekly Reports (before the 14-day limitation, or 7 days for Hourly Contracts):
5.3 Chargebacks
VIPFreelancer reviews payment provider chargebacks and disputes on behalf of Sellers. While results vary, VIPFreelancer works hard to resolve disputes in the Seller’s favor. If possible, VIPFreelancer will return parts or full revenue back to Sellers; otherwise, the chargeback amount will be borne by the Seller.
5.4 Refunds
VIPFreelancer does not automatically refund payments made for canceled Orders or Weekly Reports back to your payment provider. Funds from cancellations are returned to the Buyer's VIPFreelancer Balance for future purchases.
Refunds from the Buyer’s VIPFreelancer Balance to your payment provider can be requested from the billing page. The refund will depend on your payment method, amount, and currency. To prevent fraud and abuse, the total number of refunds is limited and subject to review by Customer Support. These refunds may incur an additional fee.
Sellers may offer a partial refund for a specific Order or Weekly Report to the Buyer. Upon acceptance by the Buyer, the amount will be refunded to the Buyer’s payment method. If VIPFreelancer cannot refund the amount to the Buyer’s payment method, it will be added to the Buyer’s VIPFreelancer Balance.
6.1 Modifications
VIPFreelancer may update these Payment Terms periodically. When changes occur, a new version of the terms will be made available on this page.
By continuing to use VIPFreelancer after the date on which the Payment Terms have changed, you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with the changes, you will need to deactivate your account. For more information, see “How to deactivate or permanently delete your account.”
VIPFreelancer may alter these Terms due to site enhancements, product and service developments, changes in features or functionality, uncontrollable circumstances, new technologies, legal and regulatory requirements, or to address security and fraud issues.
6.2 Disclaimer of Warranties
YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ITS CONTENT, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE WEBSITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE SITE, ITS CONTENT, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, PROVIDED THAT WE HAVE ACTED WITH REASONABLE PROFESSIONAL DILIGENCE. NEITHER VIPFreelancer NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH VIPFreelancer MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION REGARDING THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SITE.
THIS DISCLAIMER DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
6.3 Limitation on Liability
PROVIDED THAT VIPFreelancer HAS ACTED WITH REASONABLE PROFESSIONAL DILIGENCE, IN NO EVENT WILL VIPFreelancer, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, ANY LINKED WEBSITES, ANY CONTENT ON THE WEBSITE OR OTHER WEBSITES, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE OR OTHER WEBSITES. THIS INCLUDES ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, AND LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.
IN ACCEPTING LIABILITY AS THE LIMITED AUTHORIZED PAYMENT COLLECTION AGENT OF THE SELLER, VIPFreelancer AND ITS AFFILIATES ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THE SELLER.
THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
The term “Affiliate” refers to an entity that, directly or indirectly, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with VIPFreelancer, where control means having more than fifty percent (50%) voting stock or other ownership interest or the majority of voting rights of such entity.
